Floodgate Designs was a company from 2008 – 2010 that would help non-profits with their design, web, and print needs. The brand was meant to be fluid and show ideas.

Blue was the main color and gave a sense of water and being fluid with the designs and with their clients.

Macbeth

This bloody re-visioning of Macbeth took place in a distance future. The direction for the marketing promotional items where to be as “rated R as possible.”

The poster depicts a scene of Macbeth covered in blood. Designed for multiple purposes, CMYK, posters, shirts, and postcards.

Three Musketeers

Promotional marketing for the Three Musketeers theatrical play put on by DePaul University.

The hand drawn figures in the back give a gritty feel to the poster as the director requested. The marketing department used the poster for a 4 color poster (CMYK). A postcard was also sent as part of the marketing promotion.

McCarthy’s Bar and Grill – Logo

McCarthy’s Bar and Grill is a hometown Irish grill in Aurora, CO. A re-branding was in need for the 2010 St. Patrick’s day events. A new website came later as the logo took place.

The logo dawns the traditional four leaf clover and has a hint of gold to give the feeling of a pot of gold inside.

Steve Stanton Photography – Logo

Steve Stanton Photography wanted to use his signature as his logo. He had scanned in his signature to a jpeg. I used the jpeg and traced the signature using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator to make his logo a vector.

Steve Stanton Photography – Blog

A complete redesign and recoding of the Steve Stanton Photography blog. Using WordPress I was able to create an entire back-end solution for Steve so he could post his photos in a slideshow using a one step process.

Keeping with the modern and clean design of Steve Stanton Photography I used a lot of white space to keep focus on the photos. Comments and actual written content are all hidden within the post itself to keep the slick feel.
